BIKF booth vendors donate RM10K to five PIBGs

BINTULU: Five Parent and Teacher Associations (PIBG) from primary schools around Bintulu received donation of RM2,000 each from the Borneo International Kite Festival (BIKF) 2024 Vendor Booth Committee.

The schools are PIBG Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Kuala Nyalau, PIBG SK Sungai Tisang, PIBG SK Jepak, PIBG SK Ulu Segan, and PIBG SK Agama (MIS) Bintulu.

The donation was presented by Jepak assemblyman, Iskandar Turkee and witnessed by the deputy chairman of Bintulu Development Board (BDA), Datuk Haidar Khan Asghar Khan; BDA chairman, Datuk Muhammad Yakup Kari, Bintulu Division deputy resident, Abang Zainuddin Abang Turkey and BIKF 2024 Vendor Booth Committee chairman, Pandi Suhaili.

This monetary contribution was derived from total rent collection involving 109 stalls participating in the BIKF this year.

The donation is intended to support various PIBG programmes and activities thus improving the quality of education in the schools concerned.
