BINTULU (March 18): A symbolic ‘Hari Raya Light Up’ programme in conjunction with the upcoming Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration was successfully carried out at Tun Taib Mahmud Bridge, illuminating the night skyline with vibrant decorative lighting on Tuesday.
According to a statement by the Sarawak Public Works Department (JKR Sarawak), the initiative has enhanced the festive atmosphere in Bintulu, with captivating light displays adding colour and cheer to the surroundings.
“The programme not only marks the Aidilfitri celebration but also symbolises the joy of the festive season while fostering unity and togetherness among the local community.
“The decorative lighting will be on display daily from March 17 to March 24, between 7pm and 11pm,” it said.
Members of the public are encouraged to visit and experience the illumination of the bridge, one of Sarawak’s iconic landmarks and a source of pride for the state.
