Continuous rain forecast in southern, parts of central Sarawak until Dec 16

KUCHING (Dec 14): Continuous rain is forecast in southern and parts of central Sarawak until Tuesday (Dec 16), said Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia).

In a notice issued today at around 12.25pm, MetMalaysia said the persisting weather condition affects Kuching, Serian, Samarahan, Sri Aman and Betong in southern Sarawak.

In central Sarawak, the forecast covers Sarikei, Sibu and Mukah.

Due to the prevailing weather, the Department of Irrigation and Drainage (DID) had earlier issued a notice forecasting floods in 10 divisions statewide from Dec 13 to 17.
