Cops probing alleged assault of man in Batu Kawa

KUCHING (Aug 26): Police are investigating a recent incident where a man was allegedly assaulted and threatened in MJC, Batu Kawa here.

Padawan district police chief Supt Mohd Irwan Hafiz Md Radzi in a statement said the police received a report from the victim on the incident at 4.55pm yesterday.

“A video of the victim being beaten up has gone viral on social media,” he added.

Mohd Irwan Hafiz said an investigation paper has been opened under Section 506 and 323 of the Penal Code.
