SIBU (Sept 18): An unidentified man in his 20’s was found dead at the staircase of a shophouse in Mukah today.
Mukah police chief DSP Muhamad Rizal Alias stated that police rushed to the scene after receiving a report at 8.45am.
“Preliminary investigations did not find any traces of struggle or any weapons that could cause injury,” he said in a statement.
Muhammad Rizal said the deceased was wearing a black T-shirt with ‘Sibu Bike Week 2018’ written on the back, dark blue pants, and had an eggplant tattoo on both shoulders.
He said the deceased’s body was taken to Mukah Hospital mortuary for further action and the case has been classified as sudden death.
“Police are tracing the next of kin of the deceased. Witnesses are encouraged to contact the investigating officer Sgt Major Abdul Rahman Maerrad at 013-8029577.”
