Cultural exchange flourishes at Tatau Festival 2024

TATAU (Sept 11): Sungai Jatan Community Park came alive with vibrant colours and lively performances as it hosted the Cultural Night of the Chinese Community and Tamanloh Ethnic Group, in conjunction with the Tatau Festival 2024.

The Monday evening was filled with a variety of cultural activities, showcasing the rich heritage of the Chinese community.

One of the evening’s highlights was the captivating Chinese dance performances, which enthralled the audience with their grace and elegance, with a special performance by the Tatau Foochow Association adding a unique touch to the event.

The event also featured a Traditional Chinese Costume competition for both boys and girls, showcasing the beauty and diversity of the attire. The prizes were presented by Tatau Information officer Donny Minggu.

Additionally, the audience were also left in awe with a mesmerising face-changing performance.

Besides the Chinese cultural performances, the Tamanloh ethnic group also showcased their rich cultural heritage, adding to the night’s diversity and vibrancy.

This event was part of a series of cultural nights held during the Tatau Festival 2024, which included performances from various ethnic groups such as the Iban, Vaie, Punan and Tetau communities.
