KUCHING (Oct 28): The Democratic Action Party Socialist Youth (Dapsy) Sarawak has lodged a police report against Perak PAS chief Razman Zakaria over the latter’s inflammatory remarks during a recent rally in Teluk Intan.

“This is a call for action against Razman,” said Dapsy Sarawak in a statement today, issued following it lodging the police report simultaneously with Dapsy Perak.

“We have zero tolerance for remarks that can incite hatred.

“Razman stated that ‘those with the same eyes, skin and bloodline’, should unite. Such remarks divide Malaysia into separate groups and incite hatred from one group towards another.

“This not only threatens Malaysia’s harmonious multicultural society, but also insults Malaysia’s minority communities,” said Dapsy Sarawak, calling upon the police to expedite the investigation.

It said if the police continued to investigate the matter under sedition laws, the authorities should immediately arrest Razman.

“We believe that all political figures must speak responsibly, and must not spread hatred for political gain.

“We, DAP and Dapsy will stand firmly against extreme politics and defend Malaysia’s multicultural society,” added Dapsy Sarawak.
