KUCHING (Nov 2): Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi is currently on a two-day visit to Sarawak.
He arrived at the Kuching Air Base here at 10.30am today, according to the state Information Department.
On hand to welcome him were Deputy Minister of Rural and Regional Development Datuk Rubiah Wang and Deputy Minister of Utility and Telecommunication Datuk Dr Abdul Rahman Junaidi.
Upon his arrival in the city, Ahmad Zahid immediately left for Rumah Enteri Lengkoi, Samu Ulu Paku, Betong to attend a Meet-the-People session scheduled for 11am.
Tomorrow, Ahmad Zahid will attend a briefing session on the “Development Project Implementation” of the Ministry of Rural and Regional Development in Sarawak at a prominent hotel here.
The deputy prime minister is expected to depart for Kuala Lumpur on a special plane around 12.30pm tomorrow.
