Fadzly and Moses win Rage MMA finals in Kuala Lumpur

MIRI (Sept 9): Warmonger Training Academy’s Fadzly Nadier has brought the Rage MMA flyweight title home to Miri in the Kuala Lumpur finals last Saturday.

The 28-year-old dominated Julian Jackson of Fight Fam MMA KL to secure a unanimous decision. The victory solidified Warmonger’s reputation as a breeding ground for top-tier MMA talent and signals their growing influence in local MMA scene.

Another from the Warmonger stable Moses Vaxon also made headlines with a first-round TKO of Muhd Syafiq from Penang to lift the bantamweight title. It also marked the 19-year-old’s second consecutive victory in the Rage tournament.

A third fighter Koo Jin Fuh, however, fell short in the featherweight final, losing by submission to Penang’s Teguh Primadian.

Coaches Gavin Mattu, Tingang Bulan and Trevor Salang have expressed pride in the team’s performance.

“Fadzly first walked into our gym in 2014 and we started training him from zero to hero. Him juggling a small business and training after work everyday and we are very proud of him for the discipline, focus and consistency that brought him this far,” the coaches said in a joint statement.

Moses, who is also a Mirian, has been training for two years while Koo of a Brunei who has been training with the Warmonger outfit since 2017.

They also expressed thanks to Mulu assemblyman Datuk Gerawat Gala for his sponsorship.
