Tiang says this Chinese New Year initiative is in collaboration with Borneo Fresh Pork Sdn Bhd.
SIBU (Feb 5): Sarawak Deputy Minister of Public Health, Housing and Local Government Datuk Michael Tiang will be distributing 1,000 packs of 1kg minced pork for free to senior citizens in the Pelawan constituency.
He said this Chinese New Year initiative is in collaboration with Borneo Fresh Pork Sdn Bhd.
“This distribution is especially for Pelawan voters aged 60 and above to ease their burdens and allow them to feel the warmth of the festive season and care of the community,” he said in a statement.
The Pelawan assemblyman said voucher collection will open on Feb 5 from 9.30am to 3.30pm.
Eligible recipients may bring their MyKad to his service centre at No 20, Lorong 2F, Sungai Merah here to collect the voucher, or contact 012-760 9822 for enquiries.
“Vouchers will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis while stocks last. Each eligible person is entitled to only one voucher of minced pork, and each representative is allowed to collect up to two vouchers on behalf of others,” he said.
The redemption will take place on Feb 7 from 7.30am to 10am at Borneo Fresh Pork, Rejang Park here.
Tiang expressed his appreciation to Borneo Fresh Pork for their sponsorship and cooperation.
“The company has demonstrated strong corporate social responsibility, allowing senior citizens in Pelawan to benefit from this meaningful festive initiative,” he said.
