MIRI (Aug 29): A house in Kampung Pujut, Sungai Adong here was badly damaged in a fire this morning.
No report of injury was received during the outbreak which happened around 9.50am, said the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba).
“A team of 10 firefighters was rushed to the location and they succeeded in bringing the situation under control at 10.10am.
“The swift action prevented the fire from spreading to nearby houses,” it said in a statement.
Bomba estimated damage to the two-storey house at 70 per cent.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
