BINTULU (Oct 15): Mozo Sport and Ei8ht United clinched the championship titles in the men’s and women’s categories respectively at the Top Eight Futsal Open Challenge Trophy tournament on Sunday.

In the men’s category, Firdaus Construction secured second place with WawasnFt in third.

Finishing second and third in the women’s category were Tibak Baok and SSC Kuching.

Siki Poh from Mozo Sport was named the best male player while Syamimi Ibrahim from Ei8ht United took the female honours.

Top scorers were Muhd Idzhan Hussein from Sesuka Ft and Syamimi Ibrahim from Ei8ht United.

The best goalkeeper awards were given to Mohd Izzat Abdullah from Mozo Sport and Raquel Lau from Ei8ht United.

The prize-giving ceremony held at Stadium Muhibah was officiated by Tanjong Batu assemblyman Johnny Pang.

The three-day competition, organised by TopEight Futsal Club Bintulu in conjunction with Hari Sukan Negara, was participated by 32 men’s teams and 8 women’s team from Kuching, Sibu, Mukah and Miri.
