Free entry to watch Sukma sports events in Sibu

SIBU (Aug 13): There is no entry fee for watching all the three events to be taking place here during the 21st Malaysia Games (Sukma XXI), running from Aug 17 to 24.

Sarawak Sports Corporation (SSC) officer for central region, Mikar Changgan, is inviting the local fans to turn up in full force in supporting the Sarawak teams.

“Come out in full force and support the local teams; motivate and inspire them to fight hard for the state,” he said during a press conference here today.

The three SUKMA XXI events to be held in this division are volleyball, badminton and football.

For football, however, the Sarawak matches will be held in Mukah from Aug 12 to 16.

Volleyball will kick off on Aug 17 at Sibu Indoor Volleyball Stadium, with Sarawak men facing on Pahang in the opening match, set to commence at 8am.

Sarawak women’s volleyball team will meet Terengganu on Aug 18 for.

Badminton will also open the game this Aug 17, at Sibu Indoor Stadium.
