KUCHING (Sept 24): Hope Place Kuching recently delivered adult diapers and a wheelchair to a mother of three who is presently under observation at Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) following a stroke and viral infection.

Wynsey Wee Win Cher, 41, had a minor stroke in March this year and was admitted to the hospital early this month for several other health issues.

“Wynsey was leading an ordinary life but her health deteriorated and everything went downhill earlier this year. Two of her fingers were amputated early this month due to viral infection.

“She is also suspected of having kidney problem. According to an SGH social worker, Wynsey is also likely to be suffering from major depression disorder,” said Hope Place in a release yesterday.

It said Wynsey used to run a laksa stall in the city but was forced to shut down her business after suffering the minor stroke.

It added her three school-going children, aged from six to 17, are fending for themselves at their rented house at Hui Sing Garden now that their mother is in the hospital.

Hope Place welcomes all donations and will issue receipts upon request.

Donations can be channelled directly to its Maybank account (511289001160) or by scanning the S Pay Global QR code on its Facebook page.
