Hosts wants Fir and Afick show renewed

KUCHING: Given by the success of the Fir and Afick Tonight Show, the talk show hosts Fir Afandi and Afick Wazai are very positive that there will be a second season.

They said that the success of the show is all due to the hard work and effort that are shown by the producers and the production team behind the scene.

Afick then stated that for the second season, they already have the list of the dream guest.

“I do not think that I can reveal who is our dream guest, but I can only say that one of them would be an Indonesian artist.

“We are still in the talks about it, planning what kind of content we want to show in the next season, so we are very hopeful about it,” he said.

He said this in a press conference after the filming of the finale episode for the talk show at Town Hall TVS, Cityone Mega Mall here on Friday (August 2).

Reflecting on the filming for the finale episode, Fir was very sad to see the show is finally come to an end.

“This is because we have spent a total of eight month here, working on the show, brainstorming ideas on what kind of guests and segments that we want to show.

“We began the production of our talk show back in April of this year, and now around 12 episodes later, it is sad to see the show comes to an end, but we truly believe there will be future season, due to the reception of the show among viewers,” he said.

Afick then stated the show has great reception, not only among the Sarawakian viewers, but among viewers in Sabah and Peninsular Malaysia.

“For instance, my mother-in-law lives in Kuala Lumpur, so when she found out about the talk show, she started to watch it from the first episode it airs,” she added.

The Fir and Afick Tonight Show is a comedy show, combining two of the most well-known Sarawakian comedian, Fir and Afick.

The programme also presents the invited from some of the biggest names in the nation’s entertainment industry such as Bell NGasri, Erra Fazira, Didie Alias, Baby Shima and others.

Fir and Afick Tonight Show airs every Sunday 9.15 pm, with the episode’s rerun airs on Saturday 11 pm.

The finale episode of the show, with invited guest singer Marsha Milan Londoh will air on Sunday (September 8).

Also present during the press conference were producer TVS Chief Media Officer Mohamad Sardon Zainal, producer Nazuan Afindi and other distinguished guests.
