At 55, Huang, who served as the Sarikei MP and Repok assemblyman, embarked on his political journey in 1973 with the Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP).

He held the positions of Vice President and Division Chief of SUPP Sarikei.
In the 2016 State Election, he secured the Repok state seat, followed by the Sarikei parliamentary seat in the 2022 General Election.

Before entering politics, he had established himself as a prominent businessman in Sarikei.

Since assuming the roles of Sarikei MP and Repok assemblyman, he has consistently offered extensive support to the residents of both constituencies, with a particular focus on education.
