KUCHING: Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability Datuk Seri Huang Tiong Sii, continues to strengthen his connection with the community, addressing local issues and allocating funds for necessary repairs and infrastructure improvements to enhance the living standards of the multi-ethnic constituents.
He emphasised his commitment to advancing the interests of the Sarikei area under the leadership of the Premier, Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Abdul Rahman Zohari Tun Datuk Abang Haji Openg.
According to a media statement, Huang recently visited several longhouses in the Merudu, Sg Baji, and Sg Sentebu areas, specifically Rh Robert Anak Igo, Rh Edmund Anak William, Rh Naning Anak Undong, Rh Adeline Anak Ligi, Rh Mawa Anak Anding, Rh Awang Anak Bagong, and Rh Lanja Anak Juan.
During his visits Huang conveyed his appreciation to the longhouse residents and the community for their support during the General and Sarawak State Elections, emphasising that their support enabled him to continue serving the public and driving progress in the Sarikei area.
He also assured that the Sarawak Government would continue to develop the Sarikei and Maradong areas to safeguard the interests of the multi-ethnic community, and his commitment to the longhouses by allocating funds for essential repairs and improving road infrastructure to enhance transportation and living conditions for the residents.
