Jalur Gemilang convoy touring 8 districts in S’wak until Aug 31

KUCHING (Aug 26): The Kembara Merdeka Jalur Gemilang (KMJG) 2024 convoy will tour eight districts in Sarawak from now until Aug 31.

The Sarawak State Information Department (JaPen) in a statement said the convoy will travel through Bintulu, Miri, Lawas, Limbang, Tatau, Sibu, Tanjung Manis and Mukah.

The convoy was flagged off at 8.25am on Sunday from the JaPen headquarters here, heading towards Bintulu.

During the flag off ceremony, JaPen Sarawak director Helmy Hamid urged all convoy participants to uphold their health, safety and the department’s reputation throughout the journey.

The convoy is decorated with the Jalur Gemilang flag and throughout their journey will feature a range of activities including the KMJG 2024 Fun Ride, patriotic dance performances, Floats Competition, special performances, Pentarama X Kelab Malaysiaku and screenings of patriotic video clips.

This year’s theme, ‘Jiwa Merdeka’, reflects the freedom of Malaysians and hopes to foster patriotism. It signifies a united, harmonious and progressive nation.
