SIBU (Sept 10): The Sibu Chapter of Junior Chamber International (JCI) recently hosted a visit by their Taiwanese counterparts, who came here for a three-day educational trip.

The 14 members of JCI Tu Cheng were taken to tour key landmarks and enterprises in town, including the Sibu Central Market, Sibu Heritage Centre, Sibu Tua Pek Kong Temple and Liong Yeh Hin Medical Hall Sdn Bhd.

“We regard the visit by JCI Tu Cheng as a valuable opportunity for both sides to engage deeply, exchange valuable experiences and jointly explore future development strategies with each other.

“Although we are geographically different, we share a common mission and vision – to promote youth exchange, advance social progress and foster prosperity,” said JCI Sibu in a statement.

The local JCI chapter also said both parties realised that only through genuine understanding, solid trust and proactive collaboration could lasting friendship and mutual growth be achieved.

The JCI Tu Cheng delegates were also treated to a grand reception dinner hosted by JCI Sibu, as a mark of respect and hospitality for the guests.

“This event is not only a friendly gathering, but also a celebration of 31 years of alliance between the two organisations.

“Through this in-depth interaction, both parties are confident that their friendship can be further strengthened, their cooperation to become more robust, and also the cultural and tourism exchanges between the two regions can be enhanced,” said JCI Sibu.
