KUCHING, Jan 28: KUCHING: Kota Sentosa assemblyman Wilfred Yap once again visited SJK Chung Hua Stampin to hand over a RM30,000 Minor Rural Project (MRP) grant, contributing to the school’s building fund to support ongoing infrastructure development.
The allocation is aimed at improving the learning environment for students, in line with continued efforts to ensure schools in Kota Sentosa receive practical and timely assistance to meet their development needs.
Speaking during the visit, Yap said education remains a long-term investment that requires consistent and sustained support, particularly for vernacular schools that rely heavily on community contributions and assistance from the Sarawak GPS government to carry out development projects.
“Schools like SJK Chung Hua Stampin play an important role in nurturing future generations. This contribution is part of our continuous commitment to support school development and to provide a better learning environment for both students and teachers,” he said in a statement today.
Yap also reaffirmed his commitment to work closely with school boards, parent-teacher associations, and the wider community to identify priority needs and ensure available resources are channelled effectively.
The handover reflects Yap’s ongoing engagement with SJK Chung Hua Stampin, following previous allocations under both the MRP and Rural Transformation Programme (RTP) to support infrastructure improvements and enhance school facilities. — DayakDaily
