Kuala Baram homeowner doing chores finds cobra on window

MIRI (Sept 3): A woman doing house chores in Kampung Masjid, Kuala Baram this morning had a nasty surprise when she came face-to-face with a black cobra.

The Civil Defence Force (APM) said it received a call at 9.21am requesting assistance to capture the snake.

“After receiving the call, a team of four snake handlers went to the location and met with the complainant, who said she heard hissing sounds on her window when she was doing house chores.

“When she took a closer look, she was surprised to see a cobra on the window,” APM said.

The team took just 11 minutes to capture the one-metre-long cobra.

They later released the reptile into its natural habitat and the operation ended at 10.15am.
