Kuching golf tourney attracts 52 juniors from five clubs

KUCHING (Sept 10): Kelab Golf Sarawak (KGS) is gearing up for the 3rd KGS Junior Open Golf Championships from Sept 17 to 19.

The tournament has attracted 52 juniors from Kelab Golf Sarawak, Kelab Golf Bintulu, Kelab Gold Miri, Samarahan Country Club and Sabah Golf & Country Club.

In the ceremony held at KGS yesterday, KGS Captain Ting Kee Suen handed over the championship trophy to event patron Datin Patinggi Puan Sri Datuk Wira Lorna Enan Muloon Chan.

It was witnessed by KGS general manager Terence Lee Yeow Kong, KGS management committee member Wilfred Mujah, tournament chairman Mike Chin Yuan Tai, and committee member Anthony Tan Hong Chiang.

A key highlight in this year’s tournament is the Hole-In-One prize worth RM3000 up for grabs each day for any player who aces all Par 3’s at Matang and Santubong Nine courses.

The prize shall be shared equally if there is more than one winner on the same day.
