KUCHING, Sept 24: The Tyng Dance Academy (TDA) in Kuching has set a new benchmark for excellence at the 5th Asia Open Dance Championship, which was held in Kuala Lumpur from September 14 to 17.
According to a press release issued today, the academy managed to secure four awards, namely the Best School Award, Outstanding Instructor Award (Tyng Tyng), Outstanding Dancer Award (Geraldine Su) and Top Scorer Award (Geraldine Su).
“Tyng Dance Academy’s achievement of winning four prestigious titles highlights its unwavering commitment to artistic excellence and its rising stature as a powerhouse in the world of dance.
“These awards serve as a celebration of Sarawak’s growing influence in the performing arts, reinforcing the state’s reputation for excellence,” said the academy.
In addition, Tyng Dance Academy also managed to win seven gold awards and 18 silver awards across various categories, underscoring the academy’s depth of talent and its competitive edge on an international platform.
“The Asia Open Dance Championship served as a platform for TDA to showcase the strength and depth of Sarawakian talents.
