ADVERTISE HERE
MIRI: Sibuti MP Datuk Lukanisman Awang Sauni has called on participants of the 2024 Jalur Gemilang Merdeka Expedition to keep an eye out for locals who may be in need of assistance during their journey.
The convoy, made up of members from the Myy Maxi Scooter Motorsport Club Miri, made a stop at Bakam Point where Lukanisman delivered his message.
Lukanisman, who is Deputy Health Minister, emphasised the importance of identifying any individuals in need of help during their trip.
Speaking during the flag-off of the convoy at Bakam Point on Saturday (Aug 31), he expressed his commitment to providing necessary aid to the community.
“I urge all of you to be observant as you travel through the villages. There might be places or people that our service centre has not yet reached,” he said.
“If you notice something amiss, like potholes or a resident facing difficulties, please inform us. For instance, if someone needs a wheelchair or a bed, don’t hesitate to reach out to the Sibuti Parliament Service Centre or collaborate with my service centre.”
Lukanisman highlighted the significance of the convoy’s route through various locations within the Sibuti parliamentary constituency, including Bakam, Siwak, Berayak, and up to Tiris and nearby longhouses.
