KUCHING (Oct 14): The all-Hong Kong final of the 17th ATF Asian U14 Series Sarawak 2024 saw second-seeded Luk Shun Him upstaging top-seeded Justin Chan with the score of 7-6(2), 6-4 yesterday.
Luk had earlier defeated Malaysia’s Fawwaz Mustaqeem Kamaruzzaman in the semi-final on Saturday while South Korea’s Eunho Choi lost to Chan in the other semi-final.
Choi claimed the third placing after defeating Fawwaz 4-0, 4-0 in the playoff.
A total 36 players from nine countries took part in the week-long tournament organised by Asian Tennis Federation (ATF) and hosted by Sarawak Lawn Tennis Association (SLTA) at the SLTA Centre in Kuching.
SLTA president Dato Patrick Liew was present to hand over trophies to the winners.
