Man injured after car crashes into ditch at Jln Oya

SIBU (Sept 14): A 46-year-old man was injured in a single vehicle accident after the car he was driving crashed into a ditch at Mile 32 in Jalan Oya here on Friday evening.

The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) in a statement said a distress call was received at 9.35pm before dispatching six firefighters to the scene located 22km away.

“On arrival, the victim was found unconscious in the car.

“The team conducted an extrication operation which began with installing a cervical collar on the victim, who was then removed from the vehicle with special rescue tools,” Bomba said in a statement.

The victim was then handed over to medical personnel for further treatment.
