MBKS lauds for its best record management governance

KUCHING : Kuching  South City Council (MBKS) recently won the Sarawak State Public Service Records Management Evaluation and Appreciation Award (City and Municipal Council level) 2023 under the Best City / Municipal Council Category.

In its press statement issued today (June 27) said the award was organised by the Sarawak State Library with the main objective of giving recognition and appreciation to City and Municipal Authorities who have implemented the best record management governance and compliance at the organisational level.

“The award was presented by the Sarawak State Secretary, Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki and received by MBKS acting city secretary, Wong Ming Kong.

“The recognition highlights MBKS’s unwavering commitment to excellence and efficiency in managing public records,” the press statement read.

MBKS mayor Datuk Wee Hong Seng congratulated the management and staff of MBKS for their commitment in achieving this meaningful award as it exemplifies the dedication and enthusiasm of MBKS in ensuring it complies with the best records management governance.

The statement then added that MBKS will continue to uphold this standards and striving for even greater heights in public service.
