Miri mayor donates new shoes to Sarawak rugby team for Sukma XXI

MIRI (Aug 2): Miri Mayor Adam Yii donated a total pair of 24 shoes to the Sarawak men’s and women’s rugby teams here on Thursday.

The Pujut assemblyman was accompanied by Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) Pujut Youth chief Kelvin Hii.

Yii praised the spirit and dedication of the rugby players and hoped for their success in the upcoming Malaysia Games (Sukma).

“I am honoured to donate to show appreciation to members of our rugby team competing in Sukma.

“I have always believed in the unlimited potential of our community’s youth,” he said when handing over the shoes to the athletes at Miri Stadium.

Also present was the rugby team’s assistant coach, Landale Cranfield.
