ADVERTISE HERE
MIRI (Aug 14): The management of the centre for the 21st Malaysia Games (Sukma XXI) here looks forward to working closely with all media agencies in promoting the events and also ensuring smooth running of the events.
Miri Resident Jamalie Busri told a press conference this after launching the Miri Sukma Media Centre at Miri Indoor Stadium yesterday.
“I am sure that all media friends know and understand their role very clearly.
“Let’s hope that we all could produce the best during the Sukma in Miri and create good memories for the athletes, their contingents and spectators,” he said.
Jamalie acknowledged that there were some issues during the preparation, but he also assured all that these had been resolved.
Six events will be taking place here during the Games, running from Aug 17 to 24. They are pencak silat to be staged at Miri Indoor Stadium, rugby at the outdoor stadium, fencing at Eastwood Valley, karate at Institut Kemahiran Belia Negara (IKBN), softball at IKBN football field and SMK Merbau, and sailing off Marina Jetty.
