KUCHING: The BMAS Christmas Unity Bazaar 2024 is scheduled to take place on Dec 16 to 22 in Miri.
Borneo MA Smart Vendors Sdn Bhd founder and managing editor Anderson Dato said the event promises to be a highlight of the festive season as it will be more than just a marketplace.
He said the event will be a celebration of local culture, community, and collective creativity.
“Our vision for this bazaar is to create a space where local entrepreneurs, artisans, and small business owners can come together to showcase their products, share their stories, and connect with the wider community.
“In today’s fast-paced world, we often overlook the unique talents and crafts within our neighbourhoods.
“As such, this bazaar provides an opportunity to shine a spotlight on these hidden gems whether it’s handcrafted gifts, traditional foods, or innovative products, our local vendors will bring a richness and diversity that we are incredibly proud of to support and promote,” he said.
He said this during a press conference at a hotel here, yesterday (June 29).
Andenson said the BMAS Christmas Unity Bazaar will also feature a wide range of activities and attractions including performances by local artists.
He added it will be a family-friendly event designed to cater to all ages and interests thus ensuring that everyone who attends leaves with a sense of joy and deeper connection to the community.
“While our journey begins in Miri, our aspirations extend beyond. We hope that the success of this bazaar will pave the way for future events across other parts of Sarawak.
“Each community within our state has its own unique character and offerings, and we are excited about the possibility of celebrating these differences through similar initiatives,” he said.
