Miri students get invite to join short video competition

MIRI: Pustaka Miri is calling on all secondary school students, particularly those in the city, to participate in the 2024 Short Video Competition in celebration of Independence Day and Malaysia Day.

Carrying the theme ‘Malaysia Madani: Jiwa Merdeka,’ the competition aims to inspire young Malaysians to embrace the spirit of independence, while upholding noble values and principles of justice, well-being and true freedom.

The theme encourages participants to reflect on and express their vision of a progressive and harmonious Malaysia.

Attractive cash prizes are up for grabs, with the champion taking home RM500, the first runner-up receiving RM400, and the second runner-up earning RM300. Additionally, five participants will receive consolation prizes of RM200 each.

Participants are required to shoot their videos within the vicinity of Pustaka Miri.

The submission window is open from Sept 1-13 while the competition itself will run from Sept 14 to Sept 25.
