Organised by the Parent-Teacher Association (PIBG) of Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Luak, the carnival will span two days beginning Aug 24.
This year’s carnival boasts 12 major events, such as a fun run, colouring competition, mini auto show/bike show, futsal competition, netball competition, handball competition, badminton tournament, e-sports, karaoke competition, busking performances, and various sales and exhibition booths.
Carnival coordinator Mohd Azra said that this year, the carnival has expanded from 10 events last year to 12 this time around.
Given the enthusiastic response from the previous year, he expressed hope for an even more vibrant turnout this year, promising attractive prizes.
The primary aim of the LuaSS Carnival is to raise funds for the PIBG of SMK Luak while also drawing a crowd from both domestic and international communities.
The event also coincides with the 20th anniversary of SMK Luak and the 2024 National Day celebrations, adding to the festive spirit.
