One dead in three-vehicle crash at Simpang Kemuyang in Sibu

KUCHING, Jan 31: A man was killed in a three-vehicle accident involving a motorcycle and two cars at the Simpang Kemuyang traffic light in Sibu on Friday night (Jan 30).

According to a report from the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), a call was received at 10.19pm, and firefighters from the Sibu Jaya station were deployed.

Upon arrival, it was noted that the victim, who rode the motorcycle, was underneath one of the cars.

Once the victim was extricated, he was pronounced dead by medical officers and handed over to the police for further action.

Flushing operations were then carried out to ensure the safety of other road users. — DayakDaily
