KUCHING (March 2): A couple, aged 32 and 33, has been arrested for their alleged involvement in motorcycle theft here.
Kuching district police chief ACP Alexson Naga Chabu said the suspects were arrested at about 2.30pm on Feb 28 at a house in Jalan Green, as part of ‘Ops Lejang Khas’.
“Initial investigations found that the man was involved in motorcycle theft, while the woman is his girlfriend.
“Police also seized a motorcycle with a fake plate number,” he said in a statement.
Alexson added that both suspects tested positive for drugs and have several prior criminal records.
The case is being investigated under Section 379A of the Penal Code.
