KUCHING (Sept 2): A total of 450 participants took part in the Charity Fun Run 2024, carried out by the Sarawak Single Mothers’ Association (Pitsa) here yesterday.

In breakdown, 60 competed in the 10km race, and 390 in the 3km event.

The 10km run was flagged off by Pitsa Board of Trustees and Discipline Bureau member Toh Puan Hayati Ahmat, and the 3km run was by Minister of Women, Childhood and Community Wellbeing Development Sarawak Dato Sri Fatimah Abdullah.

In a recent statement, Pitsa highlighted the Charity Fun Run as one of its fundraising initiatives to cover the costs of clearing and preparing land on Lot 8909 (Parent Lot 8774) at Block 14 of Salak Land District.

“The run is also meant to augment Pitsa’s savings, and support the organisation’s activities throughout the year,” it added.

The event also featured a lucky draw session for the participants.

Among those present were Pitsa president Salmah Ibrahim and the event’s organising head Dayang Lenora Awang Bujang.
