Premier to perform Solat Sunat Aidiladha at Masjid Jamek tomorrow (May 27)

KUCHING, May 26: Premier of Sarawak Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg will join thousands of Muslims at Masjid Jamek Sarawak tomorrow (May 27) to perform Solat Sunat Aidiladha.

In a statement today, the Sarawak State Mosque Welfare Trust Board (LAKMNS) said several State dignitaries are also expected to attend the prayers alongside the Premier.

The announcement follows the declaration by the Keeper of the Rulers’ Seal that Hari Raya Aidiladha for 1447H falls tomorrow.

LAKMNS advised members of the public planning to perform prayers at the mosque to arrive early to avoid traffic congestion.

The board added that traffic movement around the mosque will follow the routes outlined in the traffic plan prepared for the occasion.

Congregants have also been urged to cooperate with auxiliary police officers on duty and are encouraged to carpool to help ease congestion. — DayakDaily
