KANOWIT (Sept 8): Ngemah assemblyman Anyi Jana has urged local Parti Rakyat Sarawak (PRS) members to set up party branches in all six voting districts in Ngemah to facilitate, assist and deliver services to the constituents.

He noted that currently, there are only party branches in Bat/Sebelu, Bawan and Kajah.

“Today, PRS branch at Nanga Tada resettlement scheme has just set up a PRS protem committee,” he said when officiating at ‘People With Leader’ gathering at Rumah Mani Lagai in Nanga Dap here yesterday.

At the event, Anyi explained the role of the Sarawak Land Consolidation and Rehabilitation Authority (Salcra) in assisting the rural community to develop their land.

He also congratulated Tuai Rumah Mani, who had just received his appointment certificate.

Anyi pledged a RM10,000 minor rural project grant for the longhouse.

Among those present were Anyi’s wife Gelim Utan, PRS Ngemah deputy chairman Ramba Resang and councillors of Kanowit District Council, Juin Adan and Mutang Karani.
