Retired cop loses home in fire

MUKAH: Fire leaves four residents, including a 73-year-old retired policeman, homeless
The blaze destroyed a single-storey house in Jalan Kampung Hulu Petanak, measuring around 40×50 square metres.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported.

According to Bomba, the fire consumed nearly 90 per cent of the house.

An emergency call was received at 1.49 pm today (Oct 1), and firefighters from Mukah fire station were swiftly deployed to the scene.

Despite their prompt response, the fire spread too quickly.

Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the fire.
