Rider injured after rear-ending a vehicle

MIRI: A 24-year-old food delivery rider sustained a knee injury after being involved in an accident along Jalan Tudan on Tuesday morning (September 10).

The incident occurred around 8:56 am when the rider’s motorcycle, heading towards Tudan from Senadin, collided with the rear of a four-wheel-drive vehicle moving in the same direction.

The impact caused the young man to fall off his bike. A team from the Miri Civil Defence Force (APM) arrived on the scene soon after that.

They provided immediate first aid to the injured rider before rushing him to Miri Hospital for further treatment.

The extent of the rider’s injury remains unclear, but he was reported to be in stable condition upon arrival at the hospital.

It is yet to be determined what caused the collision, but authorities are investigating the incident.
