Riding Warrior is the overall champion of shooting skill

SRI AMAN, 6 Oct: Warrior Simanggang Team from 23rd Battalion PGA Sri Aman emerged as the overall winner of the 2026 Sarawak PGA Brigade Commander's Cup Shooting Skill Test (UKM) which took place at Pistol Sasar Field, 23rd Battalion PGA Sri Aman, yesterday.

According to the PGA Briged Sarawak, Alpha 10 team from Battalion 10 PGA Sibu won second place, while Seahorse 12 from Battalion 12 PGA Miri came in third.

The tournament involves the Center Fire and Falling Plate events that test accuracy, speed, emotional control, discipline and shooting skills amongst the residents of the PGA's Sarawak Brigade.

For the Team Center Fire event, Simanggang Warrior emerged champion followed by Kenyalang Marksman of the Sarawak PGA Headquarters Brigade in second place and Seahorse 12 in third place.

In the Individual Fire Center event, Sergeant Raymond Isot of Kenyalang Marksman emerged as champion, while Corporal Mohd Amer Sidik of Kuching Hunter, 11th PGA Stone Crater Battalion came in second place.

Third place was won by ASP Paul Marcos Aeron of Simanggang Warrior, 23rd Battalion PGA Sri Aman.

Meanwhile, Team Alpha 10 of the PGA Sibu's 10th Battalion emerged champion in the Falling Plate Team event followed by Team Simanggang Warrior in second place and Team Seahorse 12 in third place.

For the VVIP Falling Plate category, Team Rover led by Sarawak PGA Brigade Commander, SAC Datuk Lim Bak Phai, emerged as champions, while Team Rover Minor led by Deputy Commander of the Sarawak PGA Brigade, ACP Rosdi Inai took second place.

In the VVIP Center Fire category, ACP Rosdi Inai emerged as champion followed by Government Official 23rd Battalion PGA Sri Aman, Superintendent Frediel Nyambong in second place and SAC Datuk Lim Bak Phai in third place.

The 2026 Sarawak PGA Briged Commander's Cup SME Promotion not only tests shooting skills and proficiency, but also serves as a platform for strengthening discipline, team spirit, competitiveness and level of readiness of members in performing various types of assignments.
