BINTULU (Oct 10): A total of RM350,000 has been allocated for upgrading the futsal court at Kampung Warisan Jepak.

In announcing this, Jepak assemblyman Iskandar Turkee said this project included building a roof and improving the toilets, providing a comfortable space for youth to engage in healthy activities.

“With improved facilities, it’s hoped this will encourage involvement in healthy activities and positive behaviours,” he said at the futsal court handover ceremony yesterday morning.

Iskandar also announced that the futsal net and worn-out equipment will be replaced, ensuring the court can be fully utilised by the community.

He called on the people to come together to create a better, healthier environment for the young generation.

For the record, the project commenced on Feb 5 this year and was completed on July 4, as part of the Rural Transformation Programme 2023 under Jepak constituency, with Public Works Department Bintulu as the implementing agency.
