KUCHING: The Kuching Green Run 2024, a collaborative effort by Green Generation, Sarawak Economic Development Corporation (SEDC), OCI Holdings, and Kuching North City Commission (DBKU), concluded successfully this morning (Sept 28).
The event, which aimed to promote unity and sustainability, was flagged off at The Isthmus by Deputy Minister for Tourism, Creative Industry, and Performing Arts, Datuk Sebastian Ting Chiew Yew.
“Today’s event showcases the strength of unity as we gather to encourage a healthier lifestyle and foster community spirit,” Ting said in a SEDC statement.
“By combining our strengths, we can pave the way for a more sustainable future for all Sarawakians.”
The 5km run, which attracted over 1,000 participants, concluded at the SEDC building.
The event also featured a virtual component, with participants joining from Bintulu.
Special guest Lee Yong Dae, advisor to the Sarawak Bumiputera Badminton Association, inspired participants with his presence.
