Samalaju plant fire: Company expresses sorrow over worker’s passing

BINTULU (Aug 30): One of the 10 victims of the recent plant fire in Samalaju Industrial Park here, succumbed to his injuries yesterday.

In a post on Facebook, OCIM Sdn Bhd extended its condolences to the family of Mohd Fadillah Saliman, 33.

“It is with deep sorrow that we share the news of the passing of our colleague, Mohd Fadillah, who tragically succumbed to injuries sustained during the incident on Aug 14.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with the victim’s family, friends, and loved ones during this difficult time.

“We extend our deepest sympathy and stand with them in their grief. As a company, we are committed to supporting the family in any means we can,” said the company.

The fire involved the polysilicon plant’s bottom reactor tank.
