The KANTIN Singapore team celebrate their award win.
KUCHING (March 4): Sarawak-brand restaurant KANTIN claimed the ‘Best In-Store Dining Experience’ honour at the inaugural Jewel Fans’ Favourites Awards 2025 held in Jewel Changi Airport.
Also Singapore’s first and only Bornean restaurant, KANTIN has become a must-visit destination for both locals and tourists, serving authentic Sarawak cuisines such as Sarawak Laksa, manok pansuh, ‘jungle pasta’, wild chicken chop and Borneo smokehouse grills.
The restaurant was also recently-nominated for the ‘Asia’s Best New Restaurant’ recognition by the World Culinary Awards.
“Chosen from more than 100 dining brands across nine categories, KANTIN emerged as the top choice for overall dining experience, standing alongside major international and regional names such as Din Tai Fung, Shake Shack, McDonald’s, Song Fa Bak Kut Teh, Birds of Paradise and Jumbo Seafood,” said KANTIN in a statement.
In addition, the restaurant also ranked among the Top 5 in the ‘Local/Regional Delights’ category at Jewel, marking a significant milestone in its journey from East Malaysia to Singapore.
“This recognition reflects broader strengthening of Sarawak’s cultural and economic presence in Singapore, led by Sarawak Tourism and Trade Office Singapore (Statos),” it added.
