KUCHING, Sept 23: Sarawakian Chris Foo was recently crowned Gentlemen of Malaysia during Manhunt Malaysia 2024 at Geo Resort and Hotels in Genting Highlands.
The 27-year-old Kuchingite and real estate agent beat 13 other finalists in the country and will represent Malaysia in Gentlemen of the World in Jakarta, Indonesia, this December.
During the competition, Chris also earned the subsidiary title of Mr Personality.
In a statement today, Foo said that his participation in the pageant was accidental and sparked by his involvement with an international pageant.
He hoped that through his experiences, he could share his journey with the world and break the norms of male pageantry.
“My mission is simple: to inspire other Sarawakians to reach the pinnacle of male pageantry,” he said.
Manhunt International (MI) is the world’s top male model search and is also known as the Big Seven, with Manhunt ranked number one.
It is the world’s first and longest-running male model competition, founded in 1993, and has a distinguished history of excellence.
MI has continued promoting fresh talent in the modelling and fashion industries, seeking exceptional male models and nurturing contestants to be role models and exemplary citizens to inspire younger generations.
Also present at the event were Manhunt Malaysia 2022 Edward Kong, Indonesia Manhunt International People’s Choice 2024 Stefan Yogi, The Netherland Mister Supranational 2018 Ennio Fafieani, Manhunt International 2024 Kevin Dasom, National Director Manhunt Malaysia Dr Mohd Iqmal, and Advisor-cum-guest of honour for Manhunt Malaysia 2024 Dato Aaron Von Jolly. — DayakDaily
