Wee added that Hornbill Education had supported educational assistance for 14 years, and the event aims to provide incoming university students with the essential tools and opportunities to connect with peers.

“Recent school leavers will find valuable resources as they transition from secondary (school) into university environments,” he said during a press conference at MBKS Council Chambers here today.

He elaborated that seniors from major public universities in the country will be present to share practical advice and insights at the event.

The universities include Universiti Malaya (UM), Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), Universiti Pertanian Malaysia (UPM), Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (UniSZA), Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM), Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Universiti Pertahanan Nasional Malaysia (UPNM), Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM), Universiti Teknikal Melaka (UTeM), Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP), Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI), Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (Unimas) and Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS).

Wee said the highlight of the event will be the higher education financial aid briefing session by Yayasan Sarawak, which will focus on interest-free education loans as well as other assistance, and services.

He added Yayasan Sarawak strongly urged all students interested to apply regardless of whether they are enrolling in public or private universities.

Wee advised recent Sijil Tinggi Pelajaran Malaysia school leavers who had received an offer letter from Unit Pusat Universiti (UPU) or had applied to public or private universities and colleges to attend the event.

He added there will be a registration segment to help students sign up for an upcoming series of activities.

“An e-cert will be issued to all attendees with a giveaway from Hornbill Education, such as a “Steamwallet” worth RM300 and mystery gifts.
