MIRI: SOP Pelita Batu Lintang Plantation Sdn Bhd has reaffirmed its commitment to advancing the objectives of the Bumiputera Native Land Development Project in Ulu Undop, Sri Aman.

The company gave the undertaking at the conclusion of its dividend distribution for the first half of this year.

The event in Sri Aman was graced by Deputy Minister of Education, Innovation, and Talent Development Datuk Francis Harden Anak Hollis.

It featured several key initiatives to support the Bumiputera Native Land Development Project in Ulu Undop.

Among the highlights were:

  • Dividend Distribution: A total of RM743,388 was distributed to the stakeholders, with Penghulu Mingging Sigan receiving the dividend on behalf of the participants. This marked a significant milestone in SOP’s commitment to both financial returns and community empowerment.
  • Surat Pengesahan Penyertaan: Letters of confirmation were issued to stakeholders, solidifying their participation in the Ulu Undop native land development project and reinforcing their commitment to the initiative.
  • Anugerah Pelajar Cemerlang: Fifteen students with outstanding academic achievements were awarded cash incentives and stationery sets, honouring their dedication to education.
  • Bantuan Anak Angkat: A one-off cash incentive and stationery sets were distributed to 30 underprivileged children as part of the company’s ongoing community support through the native land development project.
  • Appointment of Development Committee Members: Members of the Ulu Undop Development Committee were presented with official appointment certificates for the 2024-2026 term, signifying their role in steering the project under the Ministry of Food Industry, Commodity, and Regional Development.
