SS gives support to Sarawak SUKSEM contingent

TERENGGANU: State Secretary Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki took time off to show his support for the Sarawak contingent at the 9th Sukan Se-Malaysia (SUKSEM IX) Terengganu 2024 on Tuesday (Oct 16).

He was accompanied by chef de mission (CDM) of the Sarawak contingent who is also Deputy State Secretary (Administration) Datuk Buckland Bangik.

Abu Bakar’s first stop was the Terengganu State Sports Complex, where he gave motivation to the Sarawak football squad facing Negeri Sembilan.

His presence uplifted the team, who turned around a 1-0 halftime deficit to secure a stunning 4-1 comeback victory.

Abu Bakar then met with the lawn bowls team at the same venue, where Sarawak narrowly lost 2-3 to Perak in their first Group D match.

He later visited the Terengganu State Stadium to watch the Sarawak badminton team compete against Perak.

The squad put on an outstanding performance, dominating the court and winning 5-0.

Meanwhile, the Sarawak contingent will continue its pursuit of victory today, with matches lined up in badminton, sepak takraw, table tennis, netball, and tenpin bowling.
