KUCHING (Sept 26): The Sarawak State Library (Pustaka Negeri) here will hold the Sarawak Children’s Literature Festival (SCLF) from 9am to 6pm on Oct 5-6.

A press release said the festival features storytellers from home and abroad, who will cultivate an interest in reading and improve the experience of participants.

Children will be able to explore 12 activity spaces for hands-on workshops, music and dance performances, storytelling sessions, games, as well as sales stalls.

The activities are designed to foster creativity, hone talents, build children’s social skills, and cultivate their interest in science and knowledge.

The festival is free and open to children of various ages.

This year’s SCLF will involve more than 50 partners including agencies, companies, and organisations of various backgrounds.

It aims to provide a learning experience which is exciting, develop an interest in books and reading, as well as improve children’s self-confidence.

It provides an opportunity for participants to interact, innovate, and express themselves in a positive atmosphere.
