SUPP Bawang Assan triennial general meeting scheduled for Nov 9

SIBU (Oct 2): Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) Bawang Assan Branch will hold its triennial general meeting (TGM) this Nov 9, announced its chairman Senator Robert Lau Hui Yew.

Its purpose is to elect office-bearers for the new term, as well as to appoint delegates to the party’s triennial conference in Kuching, which is slated for Dec 6-8.

All eligible members are urged to attend the TGM, taking place at the office at 6F-6H, Jalan Kampung Datu.

“The Youth Section will have their meeting and election at 1pm, followed by the Women’s Section at 2pm and the overall branch meeting at 3pm,” said Lau during a committee meeting on Tuesday evening.

Nomination forms for the various positions can be collected at the office from Oct 28-31, and must be submitted to the branch on Nov 1, between 10am to 5pm.

Meanwhile, Lau thanked all the branch committee members for their steadfast support throughout his tenure as chairman, and noted with pride that a new generation of younger members were fast taking up leadership roles in the branch.

“This augurs well for the rejuvenation of the Bawang Assan branch, and also speaks volume of the branch’s dedication to serving the people in the constituency and contributing positively towards the growth and political stability of Sarawak under Gabungan Parti Sarawak,” he said.
